We’ve come to the last post in our summer learning activities series. Hope you all have enjoyed it! Today we’re going to talk history and the ways you can fit some lessons into your summer and still have some fun. Here are some ideas:
- Field trip! Summer is a great time to get out of the classroom and take your kids to see things in person. If you’re going on vacation, research nearby historical sites and squeeze in some learning in the midst of fun and relaxation.
- Staying close to home? Check out your local historical sites or research the history of your town. You and your kids might be surprised by how much there is to learn about the place you call home.
- Throw a historical party! Are your kids interested in a particular time or place? Have a themed party where your kids dress up and pretend to be from whatever time or place you’ve chosen. They’ll have to learn to prepare, but the fun they’ll have will be worth it!
